Our fun filled day at Green Point Park

We had so much fun and laughter and it was majestic. Seeing the beauty of people smiling, hearing the laughter and celebrating World AIDS day at the same time.

World AIDS Day

We at Fikelela would like you, to please keep us in your prayers today as we celebrate World AIDS Day. We have arranged a picnic for our support group members at Green Point Park. We pray for God’s hand of protection over us, for his guidance and his everlasting love!

A spectacular night of music

On Friday 28th August, the Fikelela AIDS Project and St Georges Cathedral HIV/AIDS Task Team hosted a night of music. Four big bands – Rondebosch Boys Preparatory School Jazz Band, SACS Big Band, SACS Junior Jazz Band and SACS Concert Band – the performance displayed by these young talented musicians is just so remarkable. We would like to wish them the best in their future endeavors. They filled the Cathedral with incredible music. The money that was raised was for the Zonnebloem Foster home who cares for six orphans and vulnerable children. We have been truly blessed with the success of the event and could not achieve any of this without everyone’s commitment and support. Herewith some beautiful photographs of our musicians!

A night of top class entertainment

Four school bands rocked it again at this year’s Fikelela Benefit Concert on 29th August 2014. Organised by Fikelela AIDS Project and St George’s Cathedral, the concert raised R16,000 for Fikelela’s work with children living with and affected by HIV. Our MC’s Sue Wildish and Odidi Mfenyana, guided us through the programme and the four bands – Beau Soleil Junior Wind band, Bishops Orchestra, SACS High School Junior Band & SACS Big Band – entertained us with top quality music. Roll on next year!!
