Wellness day at St Philips Kenwyn

There were stalls offering testing for sugar levels and blood pressure. There was also pampering and lovely fresh spring water. With the catering grant from Fikelela. We made beautiful snacks and drinks for all . There was plenty of activity to keep everyone busy while waiting for their HIV results, and the day ended with line dancing!!!!

Life Choices is a very professional organisation in the way they introduced the HIV testing to everybody. Their love and compassion was amazing and confidentiality was very clear. A lady in our congregation spoke of the fear she had of testing, but after counselling from Life Choices she wondered why she hadn’t done it long ago. Life Choices were very pleased with the turn out of people who went for testing.

We would encourage other churches to hold a Wellness Day. It is time for us all to know our status!!!
